A Davidson County mother is in trouble for allegedly trying to stab her 5-year-old daughter on Wednesday.
According to jail records, the woman's live-in boyfriend walked in on her standing over her 5-year-old daughter's bed with a knife and says he watched her stab the pillow her daughter was sleeping on.
The knife missed the child, but it was violent enough that the girl woke up and ran over to her mother's boyfriend for help.
The woman then allegedly started a physical fight with her boyfriend to try and get to the child.
The report says the mother was mad at the 5 year old about a complaint that was made to Child Protective Services. She learned about the complaint the same day of the incident.
The child was not hurt.
Police responded and charged the mother with felony reckless endangerment and for injuring her boyfriend during the fight.
