NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A Nashville store is accused of selling counterfeit designer and name brand merchandise.

Police say they got a tip that Legends Clothing Store on Bell Road was selling counterfeit goods.

Detectives visited the store in November and December and purchased items they say proved to be counterfeit.

The Fraud Unit was able to get a search warrant for the business and searched the store on Tuesday. Homeland Security agents are also investigating.

Police seized thousands of items they say were counterfeit. They say the seized items, if authentic, would have sold for $1.8 million.

Metro Police says charges are expected at a later date.
