Holyoke and Chicopee police investigating armed robberies

Holyoke and Chicopee police responded to two armed robberies Friday night. 

Around 7:20 p.m. two men with hoods walked into the Quickstop convenience store on Sargent street in Holyoke. 

One of the suspects held a gun to the clerk's head and got away with cash. 

Police say the suspects' got away in a red car. 

Chicopee police also responded to a report of a robbery at a liquor store on Main Street.

In that case, one male in a ski mask held the store up.

He got away in a red car police say had a license plate number of 266-JM7. 

Police are not linking the two robberies at this time.
