PD: Man arrested for the third time on drug charges in past 3 months

DANIELSON, CT (WFSB) -

A police K-9 helped officers seize 35 baggies of crack cocaine during a traffic violation in Danielson Thursday night and investigators said the suspect has a long criminal history in Connecticut.

During a motor vehicle stop, K-9 Dutch, a patrol shepherd, alerted police about the presence of drugs in the car.

Lashawn Dismuke, 45, of Holland, MA, was inside the vehicle along with bags of crack cocaine with a street value of $1,750 found "concealed in a hidden and custom-made void in his waistband."

Dismuke was arrested for the third time in the last three months for narcotics. Police said Dismuke has been arrested a total of 18 times in Connecticut

Dismuke was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell.

He is being held on $100,000 bond.
