A 19-year-old man is dead after Bristol police say he was stabbed to death early Saturday morning.
According to police, at approximately 12:09 a.m. Saturday, a Bristol police officer came in contact with a car that contained four men, one of whom had sustained one or more stab wounds.
Police said the car was en route to Bristol Hospital, and the officer followed to further investigate.
The male victim, Joseph "Joey" Klett, 19, was given emergency aid at the hospital, but he died because of the wounds.
At about the same time, police responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Irving Street. The investigation revealed that the stabbing took place at this location, and a crime scene was established.
The investigation lead to the development of finding the suspect, police said. An arrest warrant was made for Joshua Daniels, 26, on the charge of murder.
According to police, at approximately 2 p.m. on Sunday, the Bristol Police Department was contacted by authorities from the High Point, NC, Police Department. North Carolina police reported they had taken Daniels into custody after a motor-vehicle stop in High Point, NC.
He will be held in North Carolina until he is extradited back to Connecticut.
