ROCKY HILL, CT (WFSB) -

A water main break has partially closed the intersection at Cold Spring Road and Robinson Road in Rocky Hill and is affecting the Century Hills Apartment Complex.

Crews are on scene preparing to shut down water and begin repairs. About 600 units in the Century Hills Apartment Complex will be affected by this water main break.

Rocky Hill Fire Department and Century Hills Complex management decided to wait until after dinner hours to shut down service.

Some Century Hills residents weren't too happy when they tried to turn on their faucets Sunday night.

"There is no water supply right now. We don't have water for the evening," Danesh Runjedan said.

Once water service is shut off, the repairs will take approximately two to four hours to restore water service.

While MDC workers are repairing the water main break, the residents hope to get water back by the morning.

"We need our water, we like to stay fresh. You know," Justin Riles said.

Many Century Hills residents say this is the first time this has happened.
