MAUMEE, OH (Toledo News Now) -

The Ohio Department of Transportation is in the process of reopening ramps onto I-475 after an accident Thursday evening.

Ramps to northbound I-475 from I-75, SR-25, US-24 and Dussel Drive were closed for nearly a day as ODOT workers repaired the road after the accident.

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers say a car merging on to I-475 northbound at Dussel Drive hit the semi on the right hand side, causing the semi to veer left around 8 p.m. Wednesday. The semi truck swerved through the left lane of I-475 and hit the concrete barrier on the other side of the highway, according the patrol. Troopers say the truck broke through the barricade and fell off the left side of the highway onto Manley Road below.

The patrol says the semi driver, 25-year-old Demario Burrell, of Detroit, is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.  The driver of the car, 29-year-old Daniel Beck, of Toledo, was not injured.
