While many Connecticut businesses were closed Thursday while Winter Storm Easton was bearing down on the state, some businesses had little choice but to remain open.
Among those remaining open were businesses getting ready for Valentine's Day on Friday.
Eyewitness News stopped into the Edible Arrangements store in Manchester where workers were making up arrangements to be delivered over the next two days and SUVs were rented to help delivery drivers get through the snow covered roads.
Adam Wayne, the owner of the Manchester store said about his employees "they are here, the smiles on their faces, ready to work."
Eyewitness News reporter Matthew Campbell caught up with driver Matt Kunkel on his fourteenth trip of the day who had witnessed the worst of Winter Storm Easton.
"There were a couple of 18 wheelers jackknifed, people just flat out stuck in the middle of the highway."
Despite the obstacles of rain, sleet, snow and ice, customers were happy to be getting their deliveries for that special person in their life.
Manny Vidal said "this will definitely get me out of the dog house."
