MIDDLETOWN, CT (WFSB) -

A music store in Middletown said someone smashed their way inside and stole high-end guitars.

Employees told Eyewitness News that it happened at the Middlesex Music Academy on Main Street Thursday night.

A window was smashed between 11 p.m. and midnight, they said.

Two high-end guitars were stolen, employees said. One was worth $1,600 and the other about $850.

Nothing was left by the suspects beside a huge hole on their store front window. Employees said this break in has left them shaken

"Somebody took a pair of bolt cutters and smashed the windows and took them through the glass," said an employee at the Middlesex Music Academy.

No arrests have been made at this time. If you have any information on these break-ins, you are asked to call Middletown Police Department at 860-638-4000.
