NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) -

One of two men accused of stealing 50 bottles of wine, among other things, from a homeowner was arrested Sunday in Naugatuck.

Police said Mathieu Roussel, 29, and a male accomplice were hired as landscapers for the victim's property.

Roussel and the other suspect stole approximately 50 bottles of wine, silver coins, cameras and a TV from the home June 23, according to investigators.

He was arrested on a warrant, police said.

Roussel was charged with third-degree larceny, which is shoplifting, and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny.

Police said he was released on a $500 bond. He's scheduled to face a judge Feb. 26 at Waterbury Superior Court.

As of Monday morning, a warrant was waiting to be signed at court for the second suspect.
