No one injured in crash involving train, car

NEW MILFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A Metro-North train with dozens of passengers on board collided with a motor vehicle in Milford Friday afternoon.

The crash, which involved a train heading from Waterbury to Bridgeport, occurred in the area of Oronoque Road around 1 p.m., Metro-North officials told Eyewitness News.

No injuries were reported during the crash, officials said.

Metropolitan Transportation Authority police released the train around 2:30 p.m.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but officials said crossing signals were working at the time of incident.
