A man is in jail after witnesses say he brandished a semi-automatic handgun at a crowd outside a popular nightclub.

Early Sunday morning officers arrived at the Johnson City bar, Next, and arrested 23-year old Thomas Brooks after police found him with a loaded .22 handgun.

Brooks is being charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm.

He is being held on a $21,000 bond and is making his first court appearance in Washington County Monday afternoon.
