VERNON, CT (WFSB) -

Police in Vernon were seeking the public's help to identify a person of interest related to a mobile phone store robbery.

A robber struck the Boost Mobile store in the area of 33-35 West Main Street on Feb. 17 around 2:30 p.m., according to investigators.

They said they released surveillance footage taken inside a nearby business.

The pictures show a man police said they'd like to identify as part of the investigation.

Police describe the actual robber as a short man in his 30s with a goatee and glasses. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

The suspect demanded money and fled on foot, officers said.

He was last seen in the area of Beacon Pharmacy on West Main Street.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Vernon Police Department at 860-872-9126. Police said callers can remain anonymous.
