An anonymous tip led to the arrest of a drug dealing suspect in Newington, police said.
Dariusz Dubaj was stopped by police on Feb. 20 for a traffic violation, according to investigators.
During the stop, Dubaj admitted to possessing narcotics. That's when police said they conducted a search of the vehicle.
The search revealed 60 bags of heroin and four baggies of cocaine. There were also 31 alprazolam pills, which is generic Xanax, four buprenorphine pills, which is generic Suboxone, and $1,151 in cash.
Police said drug packaging materials and a large knife were discovered as well.
Dubaj was taken into custody without incident, they said.
He was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, weapon in a motor vehicle and no front license plate.
Dubaj was released on a $10,000 non-surety bond. He has a scheduled court appearance Monday, police said.
