TUCSON, AZ (AP) -

Phoenix police have identified the 4-year-old girl killed in a three-car collision.

Sgt. Steve Martos says Angel Diaz died from Friday night shortly after arriving at a hospital.

Authorities say the woman, who was 7 months pregnant, was driving a Ford Explorer southbound on 83rd Avenue near Osborn Road when it side-swiped a Chevy Malibu going north.

Martos says the Ford Explorer continued across the northbound lanes and collided almost head-on with a Nissan Frontier pickup.

Police say Angel was a passenger in the pickup. A 3-year-old boy who was also in the vehicle is in stable condition. The driver and another passenger are recovering from their injuries.

Police say the woman was forced to deliver her baby, who remains in critical condition.
