Emergency landing made at Brainard airport

HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A pilot was forced to make an emergency landing at an airport in Hartford Tuesday morning.

Airport communications at Hartford-Brainard Airport said the Cessna 172 plane had smoke in its cockpit.

Officials said the aircraft took off around 8:10 a.m. and landed at 8:25 a.m.

An inspection revealed no problems with the plane. Investigators were searching for what caused the smoke.

Officials said there were no injuries.
