High pressure in control will continue to give us spring like temperatures until mid-week. Monday and Tuesday will see highs in the mid-70s while the mountains will reach the mid and upper 60s. Skies will be sunny throughout as well.
An approaching low pressure system will track across the continental United States and pass north of the Carolinas on Wednesday. That low pressure system will push a cold front across out region that will first be experienced in the form of rain.
Rain is currently looking to start early in the day on Wednesday then stick around into the evening. Skies will clear up as the rain pushes out quickly and gets replaced by cooler temperatures for Thursday.
Temperatures will remain below normal until the weekend arrives.
