For the fourth year in a row, fans have been polled and Connecticut is a majority fan of the New York Yankees according to a newly released Quinnipiac Poll.
Researchers surveyed more than 2100 adults in Connecticut and found the Yankees were favored 43-38 percent over the Boston Red Sox.
Results are slightly up compared to 2013 when fans polled favored the Yankees over the Sox.
Men in our state strongly backed the Yanks 44-34 percent. However, researchers said that woman in Connecticut appear to favor the Beantown team, backing the Red Sox 44-42 percent. A change from last year were women favored the pinstripes.
Douglas Schwartz, director of the Quinnipiac University poll said "Boston's World Series victory doesn't mean beans in Connecticut...the Yankees huge margin in Fairfield County gives them a statewide edge."
