PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) -
The Bureau of Criminal Investigation and several other agencies served a search warrant at Glow Industries on Eckel Junction in Perrysburg Tuesday.
The Wood County Sheriff's Office and Perrysburg Police are helping in the search with Perrysburg Police taking the lead.
The search warrant was served at 8 a.m. Tuesday and lasted several hours. The lawyer for Glow Industries says this search came as complete shock.
This is a counterfeit trademark investigation. According to the Attorney General's Office, they have found at least 1,000 stash cans inside. Essentially, it's where you cut the bottom of a can and store things inside, like money, jewelry or drugs. No drugs were found at the facility.
It's not illegal to sell these stash cans, however, the cans inside were trademarked Coca Cola, along with several other brand names. It is illegal to sell them without the company's permission.
Lara Csomos, the company's lawyer, says they are a law abiding company.
"Its business activities have always been legitimate and legal. Glow Industries has always complied with all laws and regulations. Glow Industries has and will continue to cooperate fully with the authorities and their investigations," said Csomos.
No arrests have been made.
Glow Industries, according to its company website, is a wholesale distributor and manufacturer of glass sex toys and smoking accessories.
