PHOENIX (CBS5) -
A Phoenix man is dead after he was struck by an SUV while crossing a street late Tuesday night.
Phoenix police said the man in his 40s was walking eastbound near Greenway Road at 19th Avenue and was almost across the street when he was struck by the northbound SUV.
The driver stopped and was cooperating with police. Investigators have not determined whether she was at fault or if they will charge her with a crime. No obvious signs of impairment were detected, police said.
The man was dead at the scene.
No other information was immediately available.
