STAMFORD, CT (WFSB) -

A man from Stamford was arrested Tuesday for trying to burn down his family's house.

Police said Jason Raveis, 38, even went as far as to pour gasoline around the house and inside the kitchen and garage back on Aug. 8, 2012.

Raveis' sister reported that she received a call from him about the threat. She said he'd become upset when they had put the house on the market.

He fled the scene before officers arrived.

Raveis was charged with first-degree arson, threatening, breach of peace and first-degree reckless endangerment.

He was released on a $50,000 bond, police said.
