BRIDGEPORT, CT (WFSB) -
A Bridgeport woman was arrested after police said she threatened to "throw a pot of boiling water" on a man, who asked her to prepare him peas because she was a "good cook."
Mercedes Bowman, 35, was charged with threatening and breach of peace.
Officers were called to a rooming house at 941 Noble Ave. on Monday where a 57-year-old man said Bowman threatened him with a knife.
The victim told police that he asked Bowman to cook him peas, however when he went back in the kitchen, he told police she was throwing them out. Then, the victim told police Bowman threatened him with a kitchen knife.
