A Bridgeport woman was arrested after police said she threatened to "throw a pot of boiling water" on a man, who asked her to prepare him peas because she was a "good cook."
Mercedes Bowman, 35, was charged with threatening and breach of peace.
Officers were called to a rooming house at 941 Noble Ave. on Monday where a 57-year-old man said Bowman threatened him with a knife.
