TORRINGTON, CT (WFSB) -

Torrington Police Department responded to 128 Church Street Apartment 3H around 12:13 a.m. Saturday morning for a medical emergency.

A 22-year-old victim was transported to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital where he was later pronounced dead of a suspected heroin overdose, according to police.

During the investigation, police determined Sanden Abrahams, 22, of Granby, was the person who sold the heroin to the victim prior to his death.

Fifty-five bags of heroin were located during a search, which Abrahams claimed ownership. A 2-and-a-half-year-old child was found in the apartment at the time of the incident.

Abrahams was charged with sale of heroin, possession of heroin, possession of heroin with intent to sell, possession of heroin in a school zone, possession of drug paraphernalia, risk of injury to a minor and false statement second degree.

Abrahams was being held on a $75,000 bond. There was no court date released.

Abraham's girlfriend, Taylor Delbene, 21, of Torrington, was also charged with risk of injury to a minor. Delbene was released on a $1,500 surety bond and is set to appear in court April 7.
