SPRINGFIELD, MA (WSHM) -
A fight between a comedian and the DJ hired to perform at an event on Boston Road on Saturday night led to one of the men throwing a boulder through the other man's car windshield.
The argument started at Mattie's Cafe at 750 Boston Rd. where the two men argued about the proceeds of the event. The fight continued outside around 1:45 a.m. When police arrived they heard a loud bang come from the back of the building, according to Springfield Police Sgt. John Delaney.
Upon investigation, police found that the comedian threw a "large boulder" through the DJ's pickup truck windshield.
"That was no joke," Delaney said.
Police charged the comedian, Arthur Robinson, 55, of 28 Alden St., Springfield, with malicious damage to a motor vehicle.
The comic will be arraigned in Springfield District Court on Monday.
"Let's hope the judge likes his routine," Delaney said.
