Flooding closes roads - WFSB 3 Connecticut

Flooding closes roads

Posted: Updated:
DOUGHERTY COUNTY, GA -

Several roads remained closed in Dougherty County late Monday night.

Water was flowing across Jacqueline Road in east Dougherty County, though that road was not closed. It's the only way out for the people who live in the small neighborhood there.

The county public works department has pumps working in several areas tonight trying to alleviate flooding. Jason Hillhouse said, "We're pumping a lot of isolated lows just small detention areas where we're trying to basically move water from A to B to get if off of the citizens."

Jacqueline Road runs into Spring Flats Road. Spring Flats was closed because it was covered with water.
