The championship parade for both the UConn men's and women's basketball teams was officially set for Sunday.
Gov. Dannel Malloy announced the plans Wednesday in Hartford.
He said the parade would kick off in the capital city at 4 p.m. and will immediately be followed by a victory rally on the north steps of the state capitol building.
The route will begin at the building on Trinity Street, take a right on Jewell Street, bear a left at Gold Street, turn right onto Main Street and finally make a right onto Capitol Avenue before returning to the Capitol.
Parade and rally organizers were relying on private donations to finance both events, Malloy said. The Hartford Business Improvement District was hosting the event in collaboration with Hartford, the state and a number of civic and business organizations.
Any businesses looking for a sponsorship ranging from $2,500 to $10,000 can contact the HBID at 860-728-2274 or email the district's contact Michael Zaleski at email@example.com.
The UConn women defeated Notre Dame 79-58 Tuesday night for their ninth championship.
The men beat Kentucky on Monday night 60-54 for their fourth title in 15 years.
The victories marked the second time both teams won the NCAA tournament in the same season. The last time was in 2004.
"A decade after claiming both titles, UConn Women and Men have once again focused the spotlight of college basketball on Connecticut by bringing home another dual national championship and proving to the nation why the road to the Final Four always runs through Connecticut," Malloy said in a statement. "I'm looking forward to joining thousands of Husky fans in Hartford on Sunday to let the both teams and Coaches Auriemma and Ollie know how proud we are of their success this season."
