A missing diabetic man from Humboldt was found dead inside his pickup truck Tuesday afternoon and it appears he was in an accident, the Yavapai County Sheriff's office said.
YCSO deputies said the body of Dale Stewart, 49, was found about 4 p.m.
They said his vehicle was located in a ravine off of Highway 169 about halfway between Highway 69 and Interstate 17.
Deputies reached the truck and found Stewart's body inside. They said it appears he suffered injuries consistent with a vehicle accident.
Authorities said the cause of death will be determined by the county medical examiner and the Arizona Department of Public Safety is handling the accident investigation.
Stewart had been missing since he left work for home on Saturday. He left his job about 1 1/2 miles from his home at about 5 p.m. His wife said his boss told her he was acting strangely and offered to drive him home, but Stewart refused.
Stewart's wife said his behavior could have been related to his diabetic condition, which required regular insulin injections, deputies said.
