New details emerged on Thursday in the Candler rape case.
Torrey Scott is accused of kidnapping a pregnant women out of the Candler Hospital parking lot on Feb. 9 and later raping her.
The judge decided to send the case to Superior Court despite an investigator admitting she currently does not have any physical evidence linking Scott to the crime.
Det. Adina Ripley said the victim testified Scott approached her in the Candler Hospital parking lot demanding money and that she take him to an ATM.
Ripley said during the drive Scott took the victim's wedding rings and later gave them back after she promised not to tell police.
The victim also told investigators he disabled her phone before he sexually assaulted her on Germain Drive near Food Lion.
Soon after, the victim told investigators she was able to leave the scene as Scott stood in the middle of the road, pointing a gun at her vehicle.
That is when she drove directly to Candler to call police and have a rape kit executed.
When asked if there was anything that connected Scott to the assault from DNA, Ripley said "No thus far." When asked if there was any physical evidence from the vehicle, Ripley said, "No thus far. We aren't done finishing testing it yet."
Ripley said the only thing police has connecting Scott to the assault was the victim's identification of Scott.
Ripley also testified they do have surveillance video from Candler and McDonald's on DeRenne showing Scott at Candler.
Scott remains in Chatham County Jail without bond until the next hearing.
Reports also linked Scott to some rape cases on the Savannah State campus, and GBI investigators said they are waiting to take out warrants on Scott, but they are not rushing the process since he is already in custody.
