Hunter Army Airfield is holding its first ever carnival and gates opened on Thursday night and run through the weekend.
The carnival is open to both military and civilian families and is located right outside the gates.
The carnival features rides for children and adults, skill games, food concessions and more. Tickets are required for the carnival.
"This is the first year that we've had all of the units back home from deployment for the most part, so we wanted to bring this great event to them for the kids and families as well as extend a thanks to our community that supports our service members and soldiers," said Lt. Col. Will Bowman.
