RUSTON, LA (KSLA) -

Louisiana Tech basketball fans are anxiously awaiting word that they may be in search for a new head basketball coach.

Several sources are now indicating that if Mike White wants the be the next head coach at Tennessee the job is his. Sunday ESPN reported that White is thinking about taking the job.

He does have ties to the SEC after playing at Ole Miss. He recently signed a 6 year 3.6 million dollar extension but the buyout on his contract is just 600 thousand dollars.

White has yet to comment on the reports and is reportedly on vacation this weekend.

Sean Isabella, LA Tech beat writer for the News Star says it's going to be a tough decision for the 37 year old.
