WATERTOWN, CT (WFSB) -

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing a Dunkin Donuts on Main Street in Watertown on Wednesday night.

An unidentified man wearing black clothing with a mesh type black mask covering his face and a New York Yankees baseball hat entered the Dunkin Donuts around 9:30 p.m.

Police said he displayed a handgun when he threatened the employees and opened and removed an unknown amount of cash from the main register.

According to police, the suspect then went to the cash drawer at the drive-through, and did the same.

"The suspect seemed to have knowledge on the workings of the cash register system," police said in a release Thursday.

That suspect is described as "possibly a white male, about 5'10" to 6'2" and between 170 and 180 pounds."

The suspect may have fled the area in a silver station wagon that was possibly a Volvo.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Watertown Police Department at 860-945-5200 or Crime Stoppers at 860-945-9940.
