South High student sick after smoking "ghost blunt"

WILLOUGHBY HILLS, OH (WOIO) -

Willoughby Hills Police responded to South High for a report of a student becoming ill after smoking an unknown substance.

Officers learned that a 16-year-old student from Willoughby Hills smoked what was described as a "ghost blunt".

Further investigation revealed the seller of the drugs to be a 16-year-old student from Willoughby.

School officials speaking to the subject located a large folding knife in his front pant's pocket.

The drug seller with the knife was suspended from school with a recommendation for expulsion.

He is also facing felony delinquency charges by reason of bringing a deadly weapon into school and trafficking narcotics in the vicinity of a school.

Marijuana or synthetic marijuana laced with other substances is commonly referred to as "ghost".
