Cleveland man is kidnapped from his home, shot and robbed of his car

Cleveland Police are investigating a kidnapping/aggravated robbery/felonious assault shooting which occurred on Friday April 25, 2014.

At 10:35 p.m. Third District Cleveland Police Officers responded to the area of E. 30th and Central in connection with a male being chased by several other males.

Officers heard gunshots and shortly after they found the victim, a 32-year-old Cleveland man, at E. 30th & Cedar bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds.

The victim said he was shot by three male suspects and that his vehicle was taken.

EMS transported the victim to MetroHealth Medical Center, with injuries to the upper body.

After officers radioed the victim's vehicle description, five to ten minutes later, a car matching the description was seen in the area of E. 55th & Woodland. It was later positively identified as the victim's car.

The driver failed to pull over when officers attempted a traffic stop.

Officers pursued the vehicle until the two occupants stopped the car, jumped out, and ran off near 2100 Adelbert.  After a short foot pursuit the two suspects were arrested and a handgun was recovered.

Detectives have learned that the victim was taken at gunpoint from his home in the 500 Block of E. 140th. Victim was ordered inside his vehicle and driven to the area of E. 31st and Cedar. He was robbed of his money, cellphone and clothes then forced to get out of his vehicle and lie down. It was at this time victim was shot multiple times and suspects fled in his vehicle.

At this time there is no available information regarding the third suspect.
