The Jonathan Law High School production of Little Shop of Horrors will go on as scheduled Friday and Saturday, drama advisor Michael Mele announced Sunday.
According to Mele, the production will be presented in the honor and memory of club member Maren Sanchez' enthusiasm, spirit and life.
"Maren was a passionate and enthusiastic member of the drama club and was slated to be in this production before her unfortunate death," Mele said in a news release.
"It is a tragic time for our drama club, losing such a wonderful person," Mele said. "We feel this is the best way we can honor her memory, by going on for her."
Mele said he believes Sanchez would want her fellow students to get up on stage and do the best they can.
Performances will be Friday May 2 at 7 p.m. and Saturday May 3 at 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets maybe reserved by calling 914-439-6405.
