Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signs 35 bills into law

Posted: Updated:

Gov. Jan Brewer has signed into law 35 bills that were passed by the Legislature, including one that would prosecute jilted lovers who post explicit pictures online of former flames for revenge.

Brewer's actions on Wednesday bring to 278 the number of bills the governor has signed since January.

The governor also signed a bill that would protect cities and towns from large insurance liabilities in the case of a disaster that results in death or serious injury of a public employee. The bill was proposed in response to the aftermath of the Yarnell Hill Fire near Prescott last year.

Brewer also approved a bill that will create a memorial at the site.

She also vetoed five bills, including one requiring an outside review of the state's child welfare agency.
