Thousands made their way to the city on Saturday to celebrate diversity with the 33rd annual NOHO Pride Parade.
It was a very festive atmosphere as an estimated 20,000 participants marched from downtown to the Three County Fairgrounds.
The parade is typically held on the first Saturday in May.
Organizers said it is the national kick off for other lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender celebrations throughout the country.
Mayor David Narkewicz marched in the parade with other city officials and said he is proud to have the event in his city.
The theme of this year's parade was Unity in Diversity.
Organizers said their vision and mission has always been to foster events that honor integrity, history and diversity, while focusing on education, awareness and unity among LGBT and allied communities.
