Route 220 in Enfield reopens after serious crash

Route 220 in Enfield reopened after a serious crash closed that stretch of road Monday morning for several hours.

Police said it happened near North Maple Street and Shaker Road, which is Route 220, at about 9:15 a.m. Route 220 was closed.

An Eyewitness News crew on the scene saw a damaged car and an 18-wheeler. The car appeared to be totaled.

There was no word on how many vehicles or people were involved. Police also did not release any information about whether anyone was hurt.

A Lifestar helicopter was called to the scene.

Route 220 reopened at about 3:15 p.m.
