HEPHZIBAH, GA (WFXG) -

A 64-year-old man is behind bars after Richmond County deputies said they found marijuana plants at his Hephzibah home Thursday.

Robert Ray Fultz had more than 70 marijuana plants and more than 20 pounds of dried marijuana inside his home at 3809 Fairington Drive, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

Narcotics investigators responded to the house around 5 p.m. after they received a tip that marijuana plants were being grown at the house.

Fultz is charged with manufacturing marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, according to the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.

His house is located near Deer Chase Elementary School, so Fultz was also charged with trafficking marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school zone, deputies said.
