A man is facing charges after a three-hour standoff at a home in Hickman County.

Officers were called to a home on Bruce Drive in Bon Aqua to settle a domestic dispute, but when they tried to go inside, they say homeowner Bryan Adam Hudgins confronted them and then locked himself inside.

Police say a woman was being held inside the home against her will.

The Hickman County SORT unit was able to get the woman out after about 25 minutes.

Officers were unsure if Hudgins had weapons with him inside the home and began negotiations, which lasted almost three hours before they had the opportunity to use a stun gun on Hudgins.

Hudgins, 27, was arrested and is facing charges of aggravated kidnapping, domestic assault, simple assault and resisting arrest.

The incident is under investigation, and the Hickman County Sheriff's Department say more charges are expected.
