LAS VEGAS (FOX5) -
Las Vegas Metro police on Sunday night raided the Las Vegas apartment that belongs to the two people – a man and a woman – believed to be responsible for shooting and killing two Metro officers and another person earlier in the day.
That information came from numerous residents of the complex who spoke with Metro police.
The complex is Oak Tree Apartments, located on Bruce Street at Fremont Street, near downtown Las Vegas.
Residents of the complex were evacuated as police investigated. According to a resident, some of the people who live at Oak Tree were bused to a hotel.
The two officers – identified as Igor Soldo, 31, and Alyn Beck, 41 – were shot before 11:30 a.m. as they were eating lunch at a CiCi's Pizza restaurant, on North Nellis Boulevard, near Stewart Avenue.
Both officers were pronounced dead at University Medical Center.
According to police, the shooters fled the restaurant and went to a nearby Walmart, where they shot and killed a shopper before shooting and killing each other.
