TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) -

There have been some late breaking developments in the story of illegal immigrant children arriving in Arizona.

Planes landed early Monday morning at Tucson International Airport with more illegal immigrant children from Texas.  These are the latest of hundreds being sent to Arizona due to overcrowding at Texas facilities.

Officials say the Texas border has been flooded by children illegally crossing into the U.S. by themselves, trying to find family already in the country.

The Monday morning arrivals were then put on a bus for transport to a processing facility in Nogales, Arizona. Nogales officials there have created a make-shift holding facility to process the children.  Conditions at the new facility are improving and donations have been pouring in, said officials.  This new facility is only able to hold 1,500 undocumented and unaccompanied children.  There is no word yet on who long these children will be staying in Nogales.

U.S. officials are saying they will deal with each child on a case by case basis, prioritizing national security.

Tucson News Now's Craig Reck is in Nogales and will have the latest on this story on KOLD News 13 at 4 p.m.
