SUN CITY, AZ (CBS5) -

A 67-year-old woman escaped injury when she drove her car into a medical building in Sun City West on Monday afternoon, the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office said.

First responders rushed to the scene and discovered the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, had emerged from the car unscathed.

It happened at around 1:30 p.m. near Grand Avenue and Reems Road, according to MCSO Deputy Joaquin Enriquez.

A nurse in the waiting area of the building suffered a hand injury and is expected to be OK.

There are no indications of alcohol or drugs being a factor and it appears to be an accident, Enriquez said.
