A two-year-old in Texarkana, Arkansas found herself involved
in an unusual rescue Thursday afternoon.
Texarkana, Arkansas firefighters say it happened around 3
p.m. at an apartment complex on Orleans Street. Police say the child was
visiting someone who lived in the apartments when she stuck her head between
the bars on a porch rail.
Witnesses say the child had put her head between the bars
several times before but this time she got stuck.
Police say when emergency crews arrived, the child was
crying and those trying to help were also hysterical. Firefighters say it's not
often you see the jaws of life used in a situation like this, but that is what
crews had to do in order to free the child.
