Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is flying round-trip to Washington, D.C. to highlight new nonstop service from Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks.
Malloy, the executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority and executives from JetBlue Airways Corp. planned Thursday morning to discuss the new, daily, nonstop round-trip service from Bradley to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
Malloy planned to board the flight and travel to Washington for a second news conference about the new service, scheduled approximately two-and-a-half hours later.
A spokesman for the governor said Malloy had no other events scheduled in Washington on Thursday and would not be leaving the terminal. He said Malloy planned to immediately fly back to Connecticut after the second news conference was finished.
