HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

The Hartford Police Department arrested a man and are searching for another man who were involved in a shooting on June 29, 2014.

On June 29, at about 11:57 a.m., officers responded to 85 Franklin Ave. on reports of a disturbance involving a firearm.

When officers arrived the complainant had left already and went to the Hartford Police Department.

The victim told police that while at 85 Franklin Ave. he became involved in a fight with two males. The dispute happened while the victim was sitting in his car.

The victim told police that he would not get out of his vehicle because there was a small child in a car seat with him in the car. There were also four other people in the car with him.

The suspect fled on foot and that is when the victim started driving to the Hartford Police Department. When the victim was driving to the police department, he noticed a silver Honda Accord driving toward them.

The victim noticed the Accord was occupied by the two males he just had a fight with, according to police.

The driver of the Accord, Jashawn Jackson, 20, of Hartford, shot into the victim's car. He struck the vehicle three times and one bullet just missed the small child in the car seat.

The victim then kept driving to the police department to report the incident.

According to police, officers talked to several witnesses and identified two possible suspects from street names given to them.

Officers found a .40 caliber shell casing at the intersection of Maple Avenue at Shultas Place.

On June 30, officers presented two arrest warrants to a judge at Hartford Superior court, according to police.

On July 2, Jackson was arrested without incident. According to police, Jackson said that he already has an attorney and he didn't want to talk to the investigators.

Jackson is a convicted felon, on parole at the time of the shooting and has been arrested six times in Hartford, according to police.

The other suspect, Alexander Molina, 21, of Hartford, has not been arrested yet. If you have any information on his whereabouts you are asked to contact STF Sgt. Sean Spell at 860-757-4112.

Jackson was charged with four counts of criminal attempt to commit assault, criminal possession of a firearm, first degree risk of injury to a minor and four other charges.

Molina is a convicted felon with 13 arrests in Hartford. He will be charged with second degree breach of peace, first degree threatening and brandishing a facsimile firearm.
