Police look for suspect in deadly shooting at Phoenix club

PHOENIX (CBS5) -

Police are asking for the public's help in locating the shooter who killed a 31-year-old man at a Phoenix after-hours club early Saturday morning.

Two men were in a fight in the parking lot of Ap's Nightclub at 1711 S. Central Ave. about 3:30 a.m. Saturday, according to Phoenix police spokesman James Holmes.

One of the men, later identified as Lajay Royal Jr., was shot and he was taken to a local hospital in critical condition. He died later that day.

Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377).
