Phoenix police are investigating at least three separate traffic accidents over a four-hour period that left 15 people hurt Saturday.

Seven people, including one child, are in the hospital after a bad crash near Loop 202 and Country Club Drive at around 3 p.m., Arizona Department of Public Safety officers said.

Authorities were still gathering information and not too many details have been released about the accident.

CBS 5 News was waiting Saturday night to hear more about the conditions of the victims and what led up to the crash.

Shortly after 6 p.m., fire crews and DPS investigated a single-vehicle rollover at Interstate 10 and 51st Avenue westbound. Two adult patients suffered serious injuries, DPS said.

In Glendale, six people, including two children, were hurt in a two-vehicle crash at 59 and Northern avenues just past 7 p.m.

A gold sedan with a 20-year-old male driver was traveling westbound on Northern Avenue, ran a red light and collided with a red pickup truck that was heading northbound on 59th Avenue, said Glendale Police Officer Tracey Breeden. The pickup rolled over.

The driver of the sedan suffered serious injuries. A female passenger and two children were in the vehicle and were also taken to the hospital.  They're expected to be OK.

The pickup truck was driven by a man and also contained a female passenger, Breeden said. They were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

It's unknown if speed and impairment were factors in the crash, Breeden said.

The intersection was temporarily shut down in all directions.

No names have been released in any of the accidents.
