MERIDEN, CT (WFSB) -

Police are looking for a missing 16-year-old girl from Meriden.

Nicole Kobrin has not been seen since Thursday and a Silver Alert had been issued Monday.

Officers said they believe Kobrin may be with a man either in Connecticut or North Carolina.

Sgt. Darrin McKay of the Meriden Police Department said Monday that they have had no luck reaching Kobrin on her cell phone, and it is unclear if the phone has been shut off or if the battery has run out.

Kobrin may be in the company of two males, Rakim Cardona and R. McFadden, both are 20 years old and police believe all three individuals are from Meriden.

"Right now we're assuming she wants to be where she is. However, being 16 years old, our main concern is getting her reunited with her parents," said McKay.

Police said the three may be in Connecticut, North Carolina, South Carolina or New York City, where they have friends and family, and police do not believe she is in any danger.

"We have no reason to believe she's in any danger right now. Right now she is listed as missing from all information available to us. We have every reason to believe she was safe when she left and wants to be where she is," McKay added.

Police said the two may be in a black 2004 Audi A-4 with Connecticut license plate 987ZYH.

Kobrin, who has a tattoo on her left thigh, has brown hair with light brown highlights and brown eyes. She is 5'5" and weighs 121 pounds.

"We would encourage her if she gets wind of this to contact your parents, which is our primary concern," McKay added.

If anyone has information about her whereabouts, they're asked to call the Meriden Police Department at 203-630-6201.
