3 Mechanicsville parents accused of using heroin while watching over children

MECHANICSVILLE, VA (WWBT) -

Three parents from Mechanicsville are facing felony child neglect charges after investigators say they got high on heroin, while watching their children.

Michael Miller, Jessica Childress, and Jenna Pappas were arrested earlier this month. Both of the children involved were under two years old. One child belonged to Miller and Childress, the other to Pappas.

One of the parents allegedly began having medical issues during the drug binge and called 911. The three were later arrested.

The children were released to family members.
