HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) -

Heavy rain has already passed over Connecticut on Wednesday morning and better weather is headed to the state.

Torrential downpours hit Kent, Sharon and Salisbury on Wednesday morning and affected drivers' commutes. Litchfield County was hit with 1 to 2 inches of rain and a flood advisory was issued until 10:30 a.m. when it expired.

Dixon called the storm a "slow mover," meaning that the storm took a long time to move through the state. The storm did heavy downpours for parts of the state.

The Connecticut Light & Power website is reporting 118 customers without power as of 11 a.m. To click outages in your area, click here.

No storm damage or major flooding was reported in the state on Wednesday.
